Cash is King – there is no disputing its value – it is the most liquid asset you can have.  The true value of your inventory is often out of your hands, and you should therefore consider very carefully how much of your cash you want to convert into inventory.  Converting inventory into cash is very easy – converting inventory back to cash is much more difficult. 

We understand that viewing inventory as a liability may be seen as radical viewpoint. However, it is intended to provoke a different way of thinking about inventory, and to encourage a more critical focus on this pivotal area of your business.
